Need To Stock Up On Sunscreen? Try Australian Gold Botanicals!

Summer is almost coming to an end. But, you know what? The sun is still bright and, well, sunny during the daytime, which means it’s always a good idea to have sunscreen stocked up for when you need it! I have a set of extra special sunscreens that I’d like to introduce to you: Australian Gold Botanical Sunscreens!

I had the opportunity to try 3 varieties of the Australian Gold Botanical Sunscreens:

  • SPF 50 Mineral Lotion,
  • SPF 30 Mineral Lotion, and
  • Kids SPF 50 Mineral Lotion.

According to the company’s website, “With over 25 years of sun care experience, our formulas provide unsurpassed sun protection, but don’t include unnecessary chemicals or animal testing.”  I love that! I’m all about a safe sunscreen!

What’s So Great About These Sunscreens?

These sunscreens offer UVA and UVB protection and are water resistant for 80 minutes. They are mineral sunscreens, made with titanium dioxide and zinc oxide, but they’re free of oxybenzone, parabens, phthalates, PABA, petrolatum, SLS (sulfate), dyes, and oils. They are also hypoallergenic and tested by dermatologists and pediatricians. Yet, they are not tested on animals! Sounds great, right? Well, there’s more!

According to the products’ website, the Australian Gold Botanical Sunscreen SPF 50 Mineral Lotion and the SPF 30 Mineral Lotion are gentle for the skin. They are also non-whitening, go on very smoothly. and are easily absorbed. So, you’re not left with a white film on your skin. They’re also non-greasy. And, the smell of the different formulas is absolutely delightful! They have a subtle, beautiful scent that is Citrus Oasis. It’s not too strong—leaving your skin smelling pleasant. The botanicals utilized in these two sunscreens are Kakadu plum, eucalyptus, and red algae, which aid by providing antioxidants!

The SPF 50 Kids Formula is a little different from the other two. It’s free of fragrance and can be used for the most delicate of skin. It is also non-greasy and seems to go onto the skin easily without leaving a visible film. The botanicals utilized in the kids’ formula include lemon myrtle, Kakadu plum, eucalyptus and red algae, which, according to the website, are antioxidant-rich botanicals.
