During this season our senses can be heightened because of all the smells of cookies baking, views of Christmas Lights, and the sound of caroling. However also during this time of the year can be difficult for people who are having hearing issues.  Do you or a family member suffer from hearing loss and you can tell during this time of the year?

Well, Miracle-Ear offers FREE HEARING TEST for everyone!  I know the older I get my hearing is not on point as it was back in my 20’s that is for sure.  My kids don’t mind it that much because I can’t hear their whispers anymore.  It’s not bad just small noises I can’t hear that clear, but of course, I took the FREE TEST  and scored a 10.  Very simple test that takes no more than a couple minutes, if that! 

Our hearing test indicated that your hearing seems to be in great shape. However, as we age, hearing can become an issue. Which is why it is recommended that everyone over the age of 50 comes in for an annual hearing test. Staying on top of your health, including hearing health, is one of the best things you can do to set yourself up for success for years to come. The test takes you through different scenarios and plays sounds and people talking then ask you a question.  I will admit a couple of them I had to listen to figure it out.  

Now this is just for US….what if you have a family member who might need to take the FREE TEST, you can see if you should send them the information but answering some questions about them to determine if you worry is warranted.

I know certain some our family members age – hearing loss isn’t always the easiest to accept, nor is it the most comfortable conversation to have – especially around the holidays and family gatherings where it can sometimes be even harder to hear.  So get out the headphones and make it a family thing so everyone takes a TEST….it is FREE so that will make it fun.  See what everyone gets and discuss it as a family, afterward.
