Hopefully, this will answer any questions you may have. If not, feel free to ask in the comments and I’ll answer the best I can.

HOW LONG DOES IT REALLY TAKE TO MAKE KIELBASA BACON BITES?

One of the many reasons I love using pre-made phyllo dough is because everything you make takes less time.

This Kielbasa Bacon Bites recipe takes approximately 38 minutes. TOTAL.

This includes:

  • About 5 minutes of prep time
  • Close to 5 minutes to saute the kielbasa and onion until golden brown and cover in bbq sauce and bacon
  • Around 5 minutes to cut the phyllo dough and place in the muffin tin
  • 3 minutes to fill the phyllo dough with the mixture
  • 20 minutes to bake until golden brown

CAN I USE A DIFFERENT SAUSAGE INSTEAD OF KIELBASA?

Yes, you can use any sausage you love to make these kielbasa bacon bites.

You can switch the sausage for Italian, hot Italian, apple chicken sausages, etc.

Any kind of sausage that will taste good with sweet bbq sauce and bacon will work in this recipe.

Yes, you can easily make Kielbasa Bacon Bites the day before serving.

Simply reheat in the microwave, toaster oven, or oven until warm and serve immediately.

WHAT GOES WELL WITH KIELBASA BACON BITES?

Kielbasa Bacon Bites go well with a wide variety of snacks.

These recipes would be great to serve together at a party.

Some of my personal favorites include:

CAN I USE A GENERIC BBQ SAUCE INSTEAD OF COUNTRY BOB’S ALL PURPOSE BBQ SAUCE?

Yes, you can use a generic bbq sauce in this recipe instead of Country Bob’s All-Purpose BBQ Sauce.

The steps will be pretty much the same.

As for the taste, I prefer Country Bob’s but you can use any bbq sauce you like that compliments the flavors of kielbasa.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR PHYLLO DOUGH TO UNTHAW?

It takes about 8 hours in the refrigerator for phyllo dough to unthaw.

It is best to take it out of the freezer the night before and then place it in the refrigerator.

Then a few hours before using it, check to see if it has unthawed.

If it is still slightly frozen, leave it out at room temperature for another hour or two.

WHAT ELSE CAN I ADD TO THIS KIELBASA BACON BITES RECIPE?

This simple Kielbasa Bacon Bites recipe not only tastes great, but it’s also incredibly versatile.

Try adding sauteed bell peppers to the Kielbasa mixture.

When you are sauteing the kielbasa and onions also add in chopped red, green, or yellow bell peppers and saute until soft. YUM!

These little Kielbasa bites are so good, and they would be perfect for appetizers, on a buffet table, or to pass around at a party.

They are really simple to make, only take a few ingredients, and look like elegant little puffs when you’re done.

Everyone is sure to love these, so make sure to put them in your favorites because you’ll want to make them again and again!
