Kickstart Your Business in 2020

2020 has been a strange year for everyone so far, especially with the COVID-19 pandemic, the business or even think about it, but it’s quite the opposite.

Having so much downtime to ourselves gives us the perfect opportunity to think ahead, plan our future, and write a plan as to how we are going to hit the ground running when all this blows over.

Kickstart Your Business in 2020

Here we are going to take year the world stood still. Some of you may be thinking that this is a crazy time to start a a look at some of the things you can do to kickstart your business in 2020.

Plan First

First of all, we have to think about the plan.

As boring as it might be, this is the singular most important thing you will do to actually kickstart your business.

A well thought out, a detailed plan is the start of every successful business and should be the foundations from which you grow.

Everything should be accounted for, from your budget to your mitigation plan. The better prepared you are for every eventuality will mean you can deal with them smoothly and quickly, to overcome it.

Layout your entire plan for your company’s journey and work through each step, explain what you do, why you do it, and how you do it.

Get Your Systems In Place

Being prepared will help you to truly get going once the time comes, and this includes getting everything in place to start work as soon as you can.

If you work in an area that requires there’s nothing worse than coming up against a hurdle you haven’t foreseen and taking weeks ordering of stock then get your ordering system in place and make sure it’s working seamlessly, this will be quite difficult considering the timing, but there are things you can do that will ensure it’s running smoothly, for example running a simulation.

One system you will need in place before launching is your payroll.

Hugely important as this type of service will be the heart of your workforce, and we all know without staff you don’t have a company.

Having a fully integrated system makes payroll difficulties a thing of the past and being able to generate reports to assess your situation is hugely beneficial.

Even if you’re starting the company on your own it’s best to get this in place now so it’s not a struggle once you’ve got going.

The game aims to get your company into motion.

Social Media

Create hype around your company before it launches officially.

This is a technique that’s becoming increasingly popular and for good reason, a company can gain a large following by creating a social media presence that generates excitement and shows the world what you do.

It’s similar to a musician releasing a single before the album. Use the tools you have at your disposal and think of a strategy, whether that be giveaways, live feeds, great content, or beautiful photos.

Social Media is free after all so you would be silly to not utilize it in the way it’s designed.

The real beauty of Social Media is the ability to pinpoint your target market without having to filter out a huge number of people first.

TikTok is absolutely booming and you would be crazy to miss it at this point. Now is the time to jump on board. IncrediTools has suggestions to help you with your marketing to get more TikTok followers.

Bear this in mind when planning any future campaigns as you could save an awful lot of money by paying an influencer to plug your product to their following and not an advertising agency.

This usually will return a better conversion rate of people seeing your product to purchasing it.

Marketing

You have to get your business in front of consumers first.

If the public doesn’t know who you are and what you do, you’ll have no chance of selling anything to them, no matter the product or service.

Plan your marketing strategy and be creative, the best ones are often the most obscure, and will have far more traction with potential customers.

Use everything available to you, we’ve already discussed Social Media so think of other avenues such as an Email campaign or YouTube videos.

If you’re a local business, then go old school and design some posters or flyers and distribute them through your local town, place an advert in the local paper.

Anything to get your name out there, in the beginning, will be beneficial to you and your company.

Something that should be said before we wrap up is don’t be afraid of some failure, it’s normal within a business and it’s how you deal with it that makes you a true entrepreneur.

Be prepared for every situation, good and bad, and write them all into your plan.

I can’t stress at this point how important you will plan to get yourself off the ground.

Take everything into account and ensure all systems are in place and working before you launch, and most importantly have fun.

This is your life and your business, don’t let anyone else ruin it for you. Good luck!
