If there is one thing my kids and I love doing, it is having a game night. There is just something about being surrounded by each other and having fun. There is so much stress in the world, that it’s nice to just sit back and have a game night. Here is how to have the ultimate game night with your family.
Come up with a date
The hardest part of a game night, especially when it comes to grown children, is having a set date. We make game nights happen every Wednesday night. The kids are home and off work and my husband are available. It’s the perfect night, for us, to have the ultimate game night. It may take a while to come up with the perfect “date” for game night, but make it happen.
Get the snacks ready
We do not have game nights without snacks. This family includes the snacks as part of the night. In fact, you cannot call it a game night for us if there is not popcorn, soda, and some chocolate. I always tell everyone to pick out their favorite snack and bring it to game night. I usually provide the soda and other favorite drinks for the family.
Have your favorite game ready
The ultimate game night can only happen in our family if we have Spot It! Duel. This is a game that is so much fun and a great match for our family. You can play this game for free, right on your phone and it’s free (my favorite part). If you’re not familiar with Spot It, you can read all about the game right here. My family loves the competition this game offers. Although we play it on game night, it’s also our go to game when we have free time (traveling or waiting). Spot It! Duel brings the quick-paced, addictive symbol-matching fun of the hit family card game, Spot It! to mobile devices… For free! One thing I find fun is that there is a true multiplayer mode where both players are playing against each other, at the same time, on the same device!
So, what do you say? Having the ultimate game night comes down to the right company, the perfect date, and the ultimate game. I bet if you give it a try, you will be able to find all three. Playing games like, Spot It! Duel, helps to keep your mind focused.

I use to love game- night with my kids. The kids were so competitive. Apps are easier to take care of, no space!

This app would be a great alternative to board games. it does look engaging and so much fun. I will download the game and see what my kids think. If they like it, we'll plan for a game night next weekend.

These are such great games. With my daughter going back to school in a couple weeks I said I wanted to focus more on spending time together during the school year. I'll have to test out some of these games
