Holiday Cleaning Tips- Don't Go OverboardHoliday Cleaning

It’s the holiday season and guess what that means CLEANING for guests that are coming to your house.  I used to spend days cleaning every nook and cranny in the house.  But then after couple years of busting my butt cleaning the house, I realized my guests don’t look in places or even care about how clean my house was, it was all me. So I decided to take another approach to my Holiday Cleaning, and I think this will help a lot of our readers.

  1. The entryway is the first thing the guests see so make sure that is clean for sure.  Dust, mop, wipe the walls down and then you should be good for that first impression.
  2. The bathroom will need a scrub down. When I say scrub, I mean scrub!  Everyone will visit this room at one point in their visit, so this is one room that needs to be CLEAN!
  3. The kitchen is also another room that needs a deep cleaning because this tends to be the place the family seems to gather. Make sure to wipe cabinets down, put an orange or lemon down the food disposer to get any funky odors out. Stovetop and fridge will need a thorough wipe down too.

TIP #1

I love candles, so I have them in almost every room.  What I like to do is put coffee beans in a small bowl and then put a tealight candle on top, and your house will have that fabulous smell of coffee…I love the coffee smell, now I’m not sure about other people, but it sure does take away all the different scents in the house.

TIP #2Holiday Cleaning Tips- Don't Go Overboard

You don’t need a cleaner for each room or job!  Use PURELL® Multi Surface Disinfectant it cleans and disinfects with the power of bleach!  This is a new product from a brand that we have used for years and trusted-PURELL® Hand Sanitizer.  It kills germs plus I don’t have to worry about my kids or pets getting sick because there are no harsh fumes, no toxic residue, no harsh chemicals, no bleach even though it cleans with the power of bleach. Throw out all those other nasty cleaners and stick with a bottle of PURELL® Multi Surface Disinfectant.

You can buy a bottle (or 2 like I do)  online at Amazon.com, Jet.com, and Walmart.com as well as in-store at H-E-B and Publix.  Plus it will soon be available in store at Shop Rite and Wakefern Food Corporation.  I knew I needed some soon, so I ordered from Walmart.com and ordered two bottles because it was on Rollback.  Being able to order online at Walmart is so super easy and convenient for this busy mom.  I don’t have time to shop so ordering all my supplies for the home online is my biggest time saver!Holiday Cleaning Tips- Don't Go Overboard

A multi purpose cleaner is always a must in my house. I love your trick about a tea light in a bowl of coffee beans.

I love using Purell hand sanitizer, but didn't know that they also offer cleaning supplies. I love the tips you offered, especially putting an orange or lemon down the dispenser. Bye Bye food odors.
