This is a blast from my past. And I am so glad that they have brought this timeless classic back. I love sharing good wholesome family movies with my grandkids. And this is by far one of my favorites from when I was younger.
Who does not remember Heidi and her story. While being orphaned at a young age she is sent to live with her grandfather in the Swiss Alps. Where she will fall in love with the snow-capped peaks and oh so green vallies. And I can not tell you how many I imagined myself on those beautiful mountains. And running through all of that lush green grass.
But in comes the aunt. She believes that a young girl does not need to be in the country. While she truly believes she is doing the best for Heidi. She will move her to the city with a very wealthy family. But money can’t make her happy. She longs to return to her grandfather and the mountains that she loves so much. Will she be able to return home where she belongs. Where her heart is the happiest?
One of the classics of children’s literature and have been adapted numerous times over the years. Even Shirley Temple played this young girl.
