1. Relax on St. Pete Beach
Florida is well-known for two things: the amazing weather and the heavenly beaches.

St. Pete Beach has some fantastically soft white sand, which will feel amazing between your toes.
Spend an afternoon (or a few) lounging or you can also go swimming, parasailing, windsurfing, kiteboarding, or stand-up paddle boarding.
Once you get hungry, you’ll be pleased to know that there are plenty of top-quality restaurants all around.
So make sure you get some fresh seafood!
2. Visit Fort De Soto Park
If you’ve always wanted to visit Tampa Bay, then do so. But make a small detour to Fort De Soto Park too!
This is a 1,136-acre park that stretches across 7 miles of waterfront, which makes for the perfect sunset stroll.
There are also 2 fishing piers, as well as a 4-mile hiking and skating trail for those who are more active.
You can always take a break at the picnic and camping grounds, or even stay overnight.
Of course, the main attraction is the fort itself.
Once you get to the top, you’ll be rewarded with an amazing view of the Sunshine Skyway Bridge.
This is one of the world’s longest cable-stayed concrete bridges, so make sure you snap a picture!
Fort De Soto Park also features North Beach, which is very popular.

3. Go to the Dali Museum
There’s that iconic painting where there are clocks just melting everywhere.
If you know what we’re talking about, then you should know that that painting is “The Persistence of Memory” by artist Salvador Dali.
It’s a prime example of Surrealism!
If you find his work interesting, then you can’t miss out on the Dali Museum.
Here, they have over 2,000 pieces of his work.
In fact, this museum has the largest collection of Dali’s work outside of Europe.
The Dali Museum is a waterfront museum, which means you can also take in some amazing sights while visiting.
4. Walk Down to the Marina
The St. Pete Pier is somewhere outstanding for a stroll, especially since it offers you some beautiful views of the water.
In 2020, this pier was actually closed off for some major work to be done, so if you’re headed there anytime soon, you’ll be one of the earliest visitors to enjoy the new pier!
Once you’ve explored the marina, you can then walk up and down the lengths of Bayshore Drive and Beach Drive to enjoy more of the sunshine, water, and people.
5. Grab a Pizza at Flippers
Surely all these exciting things to do in St. Petersburg can wear you out at some point.
Plus, you always need to refuel as well.

6. Take in the Sights of the Sunken Gardens
You would’ve never guessed it, but there’s a tropical paradise nestled right in the center of St. Pete.
In fact, it’s been there for over 100 years!
The Sunken Gardens spans across 4 acres and has tons of tropical plants and exotic birds for you to view.
In the Sunken Gardens, you find a Japanese garden, wedding lawn, wishing well, fossilized limestone rock, orchid arbor, and the Growing Stone.
Enjoy a peaceful walk through the premises, and don’t forget to take pictures!
You’ll find yourself so entranced that you could spend hours just strolling leisurely through the Sunken Gardens.
7. Go Bar Hopping on Central Avenue
This one’s for the beer lovers! If you love to try out new0 beers and visit local breweries, then make sure you stop by Central Avenue.
Here, you’ll find both the EDGE District and Grand Central District.
In these areas, you’ll find tons of microbreweries and bars.
Even if you visited 2 bars a day while you’re on vacation, we’re still not sure you’ll be able to hit up all the best spots!
St. Petersburg is home to 30 craft breweries, not to mention countless other bars as well.
