Well, to help all of the last-minute party planners of the world, we’re going to share two of our favorite easy foods with you. They’re easy to make and even tastier to eat.

For Dinner: Home Made Chili

No big game party is ever complete without chili. This chili is easy to make and makes about 20 servings – perfect for a house full of friends and family!

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 lb dried black beans
  • 1/2 lb dried garbanzo beans
  • 1/2 lb dried white navy beans
  • 1/2 lb dried red beans
  • 12 oz bacon, diced
  • 1/2 cup minced garlic
  • 3 minced yellow onions
  • 6 minced jalapenos
  • 4 cans tomatoes
  • 2 bottles dark beer
  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 2 pounds pork sausage
  • 1 tbsp cumin
  • 3 tbsp paprika
  • 3 tbsp chili powder
  • 1/4 cup oregano
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper

Begin by rinsing and draining the beans. In a large pot, put in beans and water and being to a boil, simmer for about one hour. While the beans are cooking, fry bacon and saute the garlic, onions, and jalapenos. While the jalapenos cook, toast seasonings and add to the onion-jalapeno pan once toasted. Next, add in the tomatoes and beer. Saute the beef and pork sausage and add to the vegetable mixture. Drain the beans and add to the rest of the ingredients. Simmer the chili for up to one more hour over low heat.

For Dessert: Peanut Butter Dip

With Americans consuming about 120 million pounds of peanut butter each year, it’s no doubt it’s a crowd favorite. This dip is sure to please all of your guests.

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • 1 cup peanut butter of your choice
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • Chocolate sprinkles and white icing for decoration

Mix butter, cream cheese, and peanut butter until smooth. Add in the vanilla extract followed by adding in the powdered sugar until combined. Mix in chocolate chips. Now, you can either put the dip in a regular round pan or you can get festive with it. If you choose to get fancy, use your hands to form the dip mixture into a football shape on a sheet pan. Cover the football-shaped dip in chocolate sprinkles and use white icing to make the laces. This dip tastes great with pretzels, cookies, or animal crackers.

There are so many food options when it comes to planning big game parties, and it can be hard to choose among favorite snacks like party mix, sliders and nachos. But these two foods will be sure to stand out this year.
