Georgia Aquarium’s Winter Waterland
Georgia Aquarium is a leading 501(c)(3) non-profit organization located in Atlanta, Ga. This aquarium is committed to working on behalf of all marine life through education, preservation, exceptional animal care, and research across the globe.
This year, add a new tradition to your holiday season with an unforgettable trip to watch Santa scuba dive with a whale shark during Georgia Aquarium’s Winter Waterland! Instead of posing for a photo on Santa’s lap, guests can snap an iconic photo with Santa from the world’s largest marine habitat while jolly Saint Nick swims alongside beautiful sea life.
Georgia Aquarium invites guests to experience one of Atlanta’s most special holiday traditions until Dec. 31. Guests can watch Santa scuba dive, experience a magical tree lighting ceremony and sing ‘Jingle Shells’ beside the magnificent animals at the aquarium. This would be a great holiday experience for the kids to be apart of. Or you can bring the whole family here as a surprise, and they have some incredible events you don’t want to miss either. Some of those events include the following:
- The Polar Express™ 4-D Experience: Welcome aboard the Polar Express! This movie follows the journey of a young boy and an extraordinary train ride to remind us all of the joys this season brings. The Polar Express™ 4-D Experience is based on the beloved children’s book by Chris Van Allsburg.
- Date: Throughout Dec. until Dec. 31 & Time – Will be announced each morning.
- SCUBA Claus: Some people have caught a glimpse of Santa soaring through the sky in his sleigh, but have you ever seen him take a deep-sea dive? Santa joins the dive team to chat with and answer questions from guests during this jolly dive show. Stop by to hear from Santa as he explores one of the world’s largest marine habitats.

Symphony of Snow: Our favorite holiday show! Prepare to be dazzled by dancing, serenaded by songs and greeted by special guests during this special performance held during the weekends of Winter Waterland.

Photos with Santa Claus: Take a picture with Santa because he made a special stop at the Aquarium to hear your holiday wish! He is available during scheduled times and dates to meet children of all ages.
