Book Gift Ideas for That Special Girlfriend or Your Mom or Sister

I am always on the look out for funny or  inspiring books for my friends and loved ones. I am a true book lover so I feel a book is an excellent gift.

Let me tell you about two books to share with your Mother, sister, best friend or church member. First is Gilded Pearls by Carol Gee. https://www.amazon.com/Gilded-Pearls-Vibrant-Thoughts-Tidbits/dp/1530979471/ref=cm_rdp_product This is an easy to read book of recipes, home making tips and fun quotes and advice. The author is much like me. She grew up in a house where nothing was wasted. Everything was recycled or repurposed. Some great household tips in this book as well as funny and uplifting quotes. One of them was Courage is being scared to death and saddling up anyway. by John Wayne  Another, Hold up your head. You were made for victory, by Anne Gilchrist. One of the tips is Cover furniture scratches with shoe polish. Rub into wood with a soft cloth. Its a great book and a quick read. Try it and see what you think.

Next up was Random Notes, about Life, Stuff and Finally Learning To Exhale by Carol Gee. https://www.amazon.com/Random-Notes-Finally-LearningTo-Exhale-ebook/dp/B01FWPGSJE  From the author….April 2016 I released the third in a series that women have fondly coined ‘girlfriends’ books. I consider the female centric essays in Random Notes (About Life,”Stuff” And Finally Learning To Exhale) a series of little love Notes for women and girls. With such essays as “While I May Not Be Able To Find My Way Out Of A Paper Bag (as my husband says) I Can Make A Mean Pound Cake” “Now That I Have Gotten My Mind Together The Rest Of Me Is Falling Apart”  or  “Would Pole Dancing Cure My ‘Bad’ Girl Itch” I’m told it’s a ‘girls’ night out in a book. I would love every woman buy a copy for a woman friend, mom, a daughter so they can enjoy the  feeling of sisterhood and laughter. Carol Gee, Atlanta
