Bachelorette Parties: Important Considerations

Bachelorette Parties: Important Considerations

Organizing a bachelorette party can be a mixture of excitement and stress. You want to give the bride to be the very best experience and a night (or even a weekend) to remember. Continue reading for our dos and don’ts to help you organize a successful bachelorette party.

Know Your Bride

You have undoubtedly seen countless advertisements showing places to go for a bachelorette party, accessories to take, things to drink and activities to undertake. However, it is imperative that you consider the most important person in any decision that you make: the bride. If your idea of a fun weekend is lots of drinking and partying, but your best friend much prefers taking in a performance on Broadway then who are you to prevent her from having that? Just ramp it up a notch or two and add a touch of bachelorette sparkle to make it more memorable.

Guest List

You probably know the majority of people that the bride to be would like to share her bachelorette party with her, but it is best to ask her just to make sure that you do not miss anyone important. Potentially upsetting her, either because someone close is not invited or conversely if someone is invited who she would really rather not have there, could be easily avoided just by asking for a list of people’s names. Of course, if things are being done as a surprise, this will be more challenging, although presumably she will be expecting a gathering of some sort at some point prior to the nuptials.

Accommodation

If the bachelorette celebrations involve being out of the area, you will need to consider accommodation. Some groups like to hire a large house in the countryside and have everything under one roof. Others prefer to book hotel rooms for the night. This is all dependent on the activities you have planned, but do take into account the impact this will have on the overall cost. Furthermore, it is vital that you avoid upsetting anyone by leaving them out, so if you have twin rooms booked, ensure that there is no one left on their own like high school sports teams being chosen.

Budget

You might be feeling rather flush, but that does not mean that you need to plan a hugely expensive celebration. In fact, it is important to judge budget for the majority of people. Check with people beforehand prior to adding any additional costs to the overall total. Remember that the price people pay will increase with food and drink on top.

Added Extras

There is something about bachelorette parties that calls for personalized items. From sashes to badges, whatever the style of the celebration you are organizing, there is bound to be something personalized to suit. If you plan to stay in and have a few drinks, brightly colored wine tumblers from Groomsshop could be perfect. Alternatively, if you are planning a rowdy night out, consider having masks of the bride and groom made to wear in bars for a bit of fun.
