A Recap (Or Intro) To Avatar

Katara and Sokka are members of the Southern Water Tribe. They unintentionally discover the Avatar, Aang, who has been frozen unconscious in an iceberg for over 100 years. The Avatar is capable of bending all four elements (water, air, earth, and fire). And, he exists to maintain peace among humanity. Aang’s absence resulted in corruption and warfare, all rooting from the Fire Nation’s tyranny. Aang travels around the world with Katara and Sokka in hopes of learning how to bend the four elements and restore harmony and balance.

The Last Airbender is a great show, incorporating comedy, adventure, and romance, all in one well-thought-out storyline. Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko produced a unique and captivating plot that literally leaves you binge-watching the entire series. You will fall in love with each of the characters and their painful backstories. And, their in-depth personalities will undoubtedly leave you empathizing for even the antagonists of this story. For example, Zuko (my personal favorite) is a prince who lives in exile because of his own father. He endures a heart-wrenching journey of self-discovery, which is accompanied by his uncle’s bland humor and sarcasm, making it all the more intriguing.

We love this show very much (this is my family’s 4th time watching it).  No matter how many times we watch this series, it will always be entertaining.
