Family game nights are big in our home. We usually do them on Sunday evening to help relax the rest of our weekend. Drop It! Is our newest favorite family game. This games provides loads of fun and requires strategic planning.

Drop It!

Though easy to learn, Drop It! is deceptively mind-boggling. One at a time, each player drops a shape into the vertical game board’s drop zone. Players earn points for the highest level that their shape reaches when it lands and extra points for touching bonus circles. But be careful not to break the Landing Rule! The shape you drop is not allowed to touch matching shapes or colors after it lands. If you break a landing rule, you will go away empty-handed. To make it even more challenging, certain pieces are forbidden at certain spots on the edge of the playing area. The winner is the player or team with the most points at the end.

What is Included

A vertical board with base
1 Score marker in each color
9 blue shapes, 9 red shapes, 9 yellow shapes
2 Base Pieces
1 +25/+50 Point token in each color
8 Jokers

How to Play

How To Play:

Chose one of your shapes.
Drop it in the drop zone.
Make sure your shape did not break any landing rules
If no landing rules are broken, figure out how many points you scored.
Move your score marker forward on the scoring track according to the number of you points you scored.

Scoring

Scoring is determined by the highest level in which your shape landed. You earn the number of points to the level number. Bonus Points are awarded if you determine if one or more of the bonus circles on the game board is covering a part of your shape.

The game is over once all players have dropped their final shapes and assessed any points earned. In case of a tie, all of the tied players are the winners.
