Sometimes finding and making friends isn’t easy. This may be especially true when you’re a young child and are fairly new to the world due to age. And, in my opinion, people don’t often talk about the issue of making friends. Well, to get the discussion started (and, perhaps, to see how your young child feels about making friends), there’s a fun new book out that may help. A Fun Look-And-Find Activity & A Great Lesson—All In One Book!
This fun look-and-find book is about a young boy named Lucas. Lucas is on a quest to find a new friend. Throughout the book, the reader follows Lucas as he tries to locate that someone who will be willing to fit the role of becoming his friend. In the book, Lucas visits places that contain plenty of people, such as the circus, the leisure park, and the airport. He quickly learns that not all places or situations are conducive to entering into a friendship. For example, Lucas realizes that sometimes people are busy, especially with all the daily tasks they have to do.
Will Lucas find a friend by the end of the day? You’ll have to read the book to find out (I don’t want to spoil the ending). I will say, however, that Lucas does seem happy by the end of the day. He enjoyed his adventures to many different places and in seeing many different types of people. And, the book also teaches a great lesson: sometimes a potential, new friend enters your life when you least expect it!
The book is full of colorful, whimsical illustrations. Young readers will find this book has lots of fun and entertaining things to find while following along with the story. And, the author also provides various ideas for ways to utilize the book, including games to make the book even more fun to read and look at. Add the fun to the lessons this book teaches about finding a friend, and I think you will find the book really is a great treasure to add to ones library!
