5 Surprising Things You Can Do In Dubai

What comes to mind when you think of Dubai?

You’re probably thinking of exploring the city in a luxury-brand car like a Mercedes-Benz G63 from RentG63, searing hot desert sands, hotels of superlative decadence, giant shopping malls, and old-world spice markets.

Well, all of those things are certainly there, but there are a number of other things you can do in Dubai that might just surprise you.

5 Surprising Things You Can Do In Dubai

1. Indoor Ski Resort

A ski resort in the middle of a desert? It’s called Ski Dubai and offers and incredible wintry wonderland with skiing, snowboarding, and even penguins!

Ski and snowboard slopes are accessible by chair lift.

All levels are catered for, and there are other fun rides and attractions for those who don’t fancy making fools of themselves falling over on the slopes all day.

For example, there’s the bobsled run, Zorb ball runs, the ice cave, snow tubing and much more.

They also have great warm cafes and other places to just sit and relax. As they say at Ski Dubai, there’s “snow much to do!”

2. World’s Largest Urban Zipline

If it’s an adrenaline-packed thrill then all you need do is seek out the XLine Dubai Marina experience.

Dubai previously offered an impressively long zipline experience in the form of the XLine Dubai Fountain, but this Marina version is twice as long and a thousand times more exciting.

Adult tickets start from AED650 ($177) and kids and family tickets starting from AED499 ($136).

3. World’s Largest Natural Gardens

The appropriately named Dubai Miracle Garden features 72,000 square meters of stunning floral display, and includes an estimated 60 million flowers on display at any one time.

You’ll find this stunning attraction in Dubailand close to the Arabian Ranches.

Since opening on Valentine’s Day 2013, the Miracle Garden has steadily increased in popularity and now attracts millions of visitors every year.

5. World’s Largest Dancing Fountain

You’ve heard of the Palm in Dubai, but how about the Palm Fountain located at the Pointe Shopping Center on Palm Jumeirah.

This incredible spectacle encompasses 14,000 square feet of fountains with fountain shots reaching as high as 105 meters in the air!

There are also more than 3,000 LED lights and a total of 7,500 nozzles that shoot the water up in breathtaking displays.
