Paint

When the seasons change so, do the colors. That doesn’t mean you need to paint every room in your house, every season. But, you can pick one room and give it a new splash of color. I love the neutral colors and earth tones, but there are so many colors that you can use to give any room a pop of color.

Redecorate a Room

A great way to brighten up you home and get it ready for the fall is to redecorate. With cooler temperatures, it is both practical and affordable to switch your decor, and it is simple to do. Colorful slipcovers can quickly and inexpensively add color to any room. Adding throw blankets and pillows, using the vibrant shades of autumn will add a pop of color to living space. Dress up with an Oriental rug, or lighten up a dark room with a white or cream-colored rug. Purchase a new piece of furniture, a new side table or even wardrobes for the bedrooms will spruce up any rooms. Another thing you can do is change out the curtains and bed sheets. Even changing light fixtures will give any room in your house a fresh look.

Adding small details to any room will lighten and brighten any mood. Placing flowers in any room, either fresh cut flowers, wreaths, potted flowers or potpourri can also make a statement and a nice pop of color. Dining room table centerpieces are also a nice touch. Pick up a few candles in fragrances like pumpkin spice, apple pie, or cinnamon, so you are greeted with the fragrance of fall as you enter a room. Try grouping together small pumpkins on a kitchen counter top to add instant color and fall inspiration.

Whether you’re looking to redo an entire room, or you want a quick makeover, these tips are sure to prepare your home for fall!
