3 Spring Cleaning Projects You Can Tackle This Weekend

Here are a few tips to give your house the makeover that is much needed after a Canadian winter.

  1. Dry Clean Winter Clothes

Taking a moment to gather all of your winter coats, scarves, hats, etc. and taking to the dry cleaner for a proper cleaning could be the easiest spring cleaning technique to accomplish this weekend.

Dry cleaning your clothes will have them fresh for the next time they need to be cracked out, which is hopefully not until next fall/winter. Dry cleaning will offer a much more round way of cleaning, while keeping your clothes looking like the day you got them, so you won’t have to worry about ruining your Canadian Goose jacket.

Regardless of what winter clothes you have or wear, dry cleaning will always be the best option and you will feel a little more accomplished knowing that you got a task done!

  1. Fresh Supplies

Refreshing the soap, body wash, oil, lotion, etc. you used during winter could be a simple, yet fantastic compliment to your home.

Clean the supplies you use that are bottled and simply change out the bottle to turn a dirty, dark gooped up bottle into a bottle that you would show off to your friends. This technique is quite simple and should only take an hour or two of your time, which could last all spring and summer.

Changing out your bottles and supplies can add a cleaner look to your home and subtly change the appearance of any room. Take a few moments out of your weekend and start cleaning up all those dirty, old bottles.

  1. A Simple Clean

Cleaning out drawers and your refrigerator should be something to consider at any time really. It can be very simple and shouldn’t take up too much of your time this weekend.

Taking time out of your day to clean out your old food in the cupboards and the refrigerator can take you on your way to a fresh new stock of food to enjoy as the weather gets a little warmer outside. Start with fresh fruit, as this can be a great start to an empty fridge. Fruit will also give you a taste of the sweet weather that is near.

You don’t have to make everything spotless, but just a simple change up in the cabinets is one task that you should be proud to check off of your list this weekend.
