10 Best Clearance Websites to Find Hidden Deals

When I shop online, I always challenge myself not to pay full price for anything. The internet is chock full of great clearance deals—you just need to know where to look. These 10 clearance websites offer deep discounts year-round, not just on major sales holidays like Black Friday. If you want to find hidden sales and save up to 50% (or more!) on the items your family wants and needs, read on.

Nordstrom Rack

If you love fashion but feel limited by the cost, look no further than Nordstrom Rack. The online store stocks deeply discounted pieces from high-end designers, including Vince, Eileen Fisher, and Rag & Bone. Recently I snagged a full-length Vince peacoat for just $230, reduced from $800. If designer isn’t your thing, you can find deals on clothing and accessories from your favorite mall brands too, such as Madewell, Topshop, and Nordstrom’s in-house clothing lines.

If you’re willing to shop in person, Nordstrom Rack holds a clearance event a few times throughout the year. It’s called Clear the Rack and offers an additional 25% discount on red-tag clearance items. My best find during this sale was a pair of silk slacks for under $30, allowing me to look polished and professional for less. You can even join the rewards program to earn points whenever you shop, which you can redeem for gift certificates called Nordstrom Notes.

REI Outlet

Hunt for a bargain before your next adventure

REI is known for its quality outdoor adventure gear, but the prices can be a bit steep. That’s why I prefer to shop on the REI Outlet website, which offers past-season items at great prices. Without even leaving your couch, you can find clearance deals on camping equipment, bikes, shoes, clothes, and more. Merchandise from in-demand brands like Patagonia, Marmot, and Smartwool can be snagged for up to 50% off.

You can even get your purchase shipped to your local store for free, which may help you save a few extra bucks. And if you’re an REI member with some rewards saved up, you can spend them at the outlet to make them stretch further.

Best Buy Outlet

Open box electronics are a great way to get like new items for less

If you’re in the market for some new electronics, make sure you take a look at Best Buy Outlet. The website features open-box, refurbished, and clearance electronics at bargain prices. Each item is listed with notes on its condition to give you a full understanding of what you’re getting.

My favorites are the open-box items, which are usually returned products or display models that are almost like new. They’re even inspected and tested for proper function. You basically get a discount of up to 50% just because someone else took the wrapping off! Just like REI Outlet, you can use your Best Buy rewards here for even more savings.

Zales Outlet

If you don’t shop for jewelry often, you may not be aware that some popular chains like Zales have outlet stores. Just like clothing trends, jewelry designs are phased out over time, and old inventory gets marked down. Zales Outlet provides discounts of 50% or more on necklaces, watches, bracelets, and even engagement rings. My favorite part of the website is the clearance section, which usually offers 70% off a wide variety of high-quality jewelry. Sometimes Zales Outlet even runs promotions that give you an extra discount on clearance items, enabling you to treat yourself or your loved ones to some bargain bling.

Woot

Woot is owned by Amazon and offers some of the retail giant’s best discounts. The site has a wide array of deeply discounted items, including pantry staples, home and outdoor items, electronics, toys, and more. Inventory can be limited, so if you see a deal you want, make sure to grab it quickly. In the past year, I’ve purchased a Solo Stove for $150 and a surround sound system for 80% off. Payments are made through Amazon and you even get free shipping if you’re a Prime Member.

Zwilling Clearance Outlet

You can find amazing prices on nice cookware if you look

Looking for quality cookware that will last a lifetime? The online Zwilling Clearance Outlet sells discounted knives, pots, pans, bakeware, and more from respected brands. You can score Staub Dutch ovens, Henckels knife sets, Demeyere pans, and more for bargain prices. Items with minor visual imperfections that still function optimally are often sold on the site for 50% off or more.

Keep your eyes peeled throughout the year for special sales events that may provide additional savings. Shopping during the Spring Warehouse event and Black Friday sale has helped me afford high-quality, French-made cast iron cookware that I’ll be able to use for decades.

Shop Goodwill

Thrifting is the way to save money

Ever wish you could go thrifting without leaving the house? Check out Shop Goodwill, which has listings from thrift stores across the country. Just like eBay, available items are auctioned off and bidding on. If you win an item, you can have it sent right to your door or pick it up in person to save on shipping.

Because Shop Goodwill uses a bidding system, prices often start quite low. If there’s a lack of interest in an item, you can usually scoop it up for a bargain price. I’ve gotten an Emile Henry tagline that retailed for $200 for just $50, including shipping. In addition to high-quality cookware, Shop Goodwill has clothes, electronics, musical instruments, toys, and just about anything else you can think of.

Menards

Save big on home improvement projects

Clearance deal hunting in person can be a frustrating experience. Discounted inventory usually varies widely from store to store. If you’re looking for something specific, you may have trouble finding it. That’s why I love the Menards website. It allows you to select your local store and view in-stock sales and clearance items, which is particularly helpful if you live far away like I do.

Recently I was able to find clearance stair treads that were reduced by 50% and arrange in-store pickup. The website also allows you to see Ray’s List of unclaimed special orders and floor models, which are offered at even steeper discounts. Keep an eye out for special rebate events, which give you an extra 11% discount if you mail in your receipt.

TJX Companies

There are great deals to be had on clothes and home goods

The TJX family of companies, including TJ Maxx, Homegoods, Marshalls, and Sierra, all offer fantastic clearance deals on clothes, home goods, and sporting equipment. TJX usually secures its inventory by buying overstock and past-season items, enabling it to provide deep discounts. For instance, I purchased a pizza oven as a Christmas gift for $200, a 50% savings. Although you can get items delivered to your house, it’s usually better to have them shipped to a local store to save money on shipping.

Zulily

Flash sales offer great savings

Zulily is a flash-sale site with a rotating selection of clothes, outerwear, skincare, and accessories. With inventory coming and going daily, keeping your eyes peeled for new clearance deals can pay off big. While you can usually expect to get a 50% to 60% discount, I’ve been able to find some limited-time sample sale items for as much as 72% off. Zulily often features in-demand brands like Le Creuset, Dyson, Uggs, Adidas, and more, making it a great place to score Christmas gifts.
