For a great hiking experience or a camping trip off the beaten track, a stay at this spectacular destination in Vermont is a must. If the family is feeling adventurous, you can trek Vermont’s Long Trail, which is one of the oldest long-distance trails in the U.S. There are five camping grounds in this area but it’s worth noting they don’t have electric hookups or dump stations so you’ll have to be prepared. Many of the campsites are free though so this can mean a super affordable trip for the whole family.
