We all know the story of Tangled, but how many of us can say we are aware of the before the story. Would be kind of interesting to see, where she came from. After all those years stuck in a tower, everyone’s favorite “barefoot princess” (Mandy Moore) yearns to make up for lost time. With the help of her true love Eugene (Zachary Levi), pals Pascal and Maximus and daring new friend Cassandra, Rapunzel postpones her wedding and royal duties to defy danger and boldly explore life beyond Corona’s walls. Sparkling with fun, adventure and music from the legendary Alan Menken, Tangled Before Ever After is a magical movie event!!
Rapunzel grapples with her new responsibilities of being a princess but is determined to live life on her own terms. To that end, she embarks on a secret adventure and encounters mystical rocks that magically cause her long blonde hair to grow back. She then must learn to embrace her hair and all that it represents.
But Rapunzel being Rapunzel raises a conflict with her family and with Eugene, reminding viewers that the choices we make always have consequences for other people as well. While it doesn’t change her mind about her view of the future, it does give her pause to consider carefully her priorities and what it really means to be happy.
We loved watching Tangled and I am sure we will enjoy this one as much, She reminds me of myself, always going against others to make me happy, but in the end we learn that it’s what ends up being the best.
