Summer Wiper Blades

The Difference Between Summer And Winter Wiper Blades

Your car’s wiper blades play a significant role in giving you clear view of the roads ahead through rainstorms, winds, blizzards and sleet. But there are differences between the wiper blades for summers and winters, as they work differently in varied weather conditions. Let’s have a look.

Difference in arms

Winter wiper blades have anti-clogging arms, due to which you don’t have to worry about freezing ice between the bars and around the joints during a winter drive. These arms have a protective shield that is responsible for blocking rain and snow on any part of the wiper. Due to this, the arms do not freeze, they stay flexible, and your window stays clear under any weather conditions. On the other hand, summer wiper blades or traditional ones have a lattice framework that makes use of different pivot points and bars to stay flexible and clear rain from your car’s window. During winters, such points get jammed due to ice.
