Let’s get one thing straight from the very beginning…health insurance is not a LUXURY it is a NECESSITY!

This is me a month ago, having major surgery. Yes, major surgery and I’m so happy I had BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina. Last year, I started not feeling so good, so when open enrollment started, I got myself health insurance.  My kids have coverage through their dad, but I’ve been uninsured for several years.

Since I didn’t have health insurance, I didn’t go to the doctor when I didn’t feel right which caused me more health issues and money in the long run. Having no health insurance and the consequences was a mistake on my part, lesson learned.

What I’m trying to tell you is no matter what GET HEALTH INSURANCE! Simple as that, don’t make the mistake I made thinking I didn’t need health insurance because I was healthy. That is not smart. Don’t Wait Until You Are Sick to Get Health Insurance

After I got my health insurance, I went into the doctor and guess what, I was very sick.  The doctor told me that it would have been much worse if I would have waited longer. I feel so relieved I did get health insurance because I probably would have ended up in the hospital this year in an emergency situation. Without health insurance, of course, that would have created a serious financial burden for the family that would have taken years to get out of.

I love to go on cruises!
