Satellite 1

With a title such as “Satellite Girl and Milk Cow,” you know the movie is going to be very original. And, it is.  It’s the story about a satellite, named KITSAT-1, that starts out in outer space, floating around aimlessly. While going about space, KITSAT-1 picks up the beautiful and touching song coming from someone on earth. The singing draws the satellite to Earth in search of the source of the song. Before the satellite is able to find the singer, it magically transforms into Satellite Girl, which looks like a human girl in appearance but whose body is as hard as metal and is equipped with rocket shoes.

Once on earth, KITSAT-1, or Satellite Girl, flies in search of the singer and eventually finds him. The him is a young, 27-year-old man who has been turned into a Holstein milk cow. He was turned into a cow due to the fact he had a broken heart. And, just when you thought things couldn’t get any stranger, Satellite Girl and Milk Cow run into and are aided by the sweet little toilet paper wizard, Merlin. These creatures must evade the evil powers that surround them, including a frightening criminal that is stealing the livers from various creatures, the incinerator monster that is large, fiery, and frightening, and others who serve as threatening forces. Watch “Satellite Girl and Milk Cow” to see how they do it and to see how their relationship evolves! Is it possible to have a relationship with a satellite? Who would have thought!

My Thoughts And Other Information About The Movie

I know this movie sounds really strange and difficult to comprehend. But, I have to tell you it is an enjoyable, funny, heart-warming story that my family had fun watching. I especially enjoyed Merlin!

The movie is directed by Korean director Chang Hyung-yun. The movie will be released on June 5, 2018, on Blue-ray and DVD.  It does not have an MPAA rating but I have been recommended that it would be rated PG and for children ages 12 and up. The DVD/Blu-ray set I received also comes with the following features: the short film “Coffee Vending Machine And Its Sword” and trailers.

The movie can be preordered on Amazon. The Blu-ray is available for $14.99 and the DVD is $11.19 (prices subject to change).

I don't think I'm that big of an animated guy. Oh sure, I surely love some animated films, but I just don't think they often hit the emotional depths live-action films do, this is partly because I just have mostly seen only American animation. Every time I can branch out in a particular film genre or area, I like to do it. I thought this was pretty good, although I was wishing I would feel the same way some f its reviewers felt. The voice acting is pretty good, and the animation creative. The screenplay is also pretty surprising, and while it does have a standard love story at its core, it's all revolved around pretty different circumstances.
