I don’t know about you, but I’m tired of the same old black mascara. It’s fine when you want a casual look, but what do you use when you want to stand out? I definitely have the answer for you. Hard Candy has this amazing colored mascara that is more than bold. They need to invent a new word for it because bold doesn’t begin to describe it. Beware though, if you wear it you will receive plenty of attention and compliments. It is glittery, shiny and catches the light beautifully. They have plenty of colors to choose from, as a matter of fact, they offer ten different shades. They have blue’s, brown, green and variations of them.
The two colors I received were Disco Ball (silver) and Jet Black. Both have tons of glitter in them. They are truly stunning to look at, especially when the light hits it. I was so excited to try it out but wasn’t sure I knew what I was doing. When I used it, I noticed it was very wet. So it wouldn’t stay on my lashes at all. I even tried one coat, then waited and put another coat on. It was very hard for me to get it to stay on. I was hoping that the Disco Ball color would be better, but it was the same. After I finally got it to stick and stay on, it took forever to dry. I am thinking that it is just something you have to play with and get used to. I still love how it looks though.

The mascara glides on easily with the bristled brush it comes with. The brush is shaped to give you volume and length, which is something we all need help with. If you are looking for a very dramatic look, you can use layers of the mascara. However, if you want a look that is a little more subdued, pop some color just on your lower lashes. For either look, you need to layer it on over your regular mascara for a better effect.
