How Can You Use Technology to Create Art?

Technology has had an effect on everything, and art has not been left behind. There is no need to fear that technology might replace art, however, as the two can work together to enhance the results realized. Consider the fact that the 3D rendering market is worth well over $2 billion. If you’re curious about how this technology and others can be used to create art, there is no shortage of ways you can do this. Read on to see some of these ways and understand how the two form a symphony.

Animating Existing Art

This is a really easy way to merge technology with art, and it is as straightforward as it sounds. It involves taking existing artwork, and after uploading it to a laptop in the right format, changing it into a GIF. Any drawing or painting can be transformed, and this presents a fun art class that any kid will enjoy immensely.

Stenciling and Printmaking

While many enjoy stenciling, kids and adults alike, making the actual stencil may take time and suck the fun out of the activity. Buying new stencils each time will also get expensive pretty fast. There is a solution in technology. It’s easy to come up with a design digitally and then cut it out manually or by using a tool. Endless hours of fun with minimal strain and stress.

When it comes to printmaking, it may be confusing for first-timers to make a print that faces the right way once it is printed out. If the design is made digitally, it gets easy to flip it so it translates correctly, especially if it is text.

Making it Easier to Access Art

While art has always been a preserve of the rich, it is now possible to own a piece of artwork without breaking the bank. This is thanks to blockchain, because there are several galleries and art houses that allow payment for art pieces with cryptocurrency. It is easy and transparent to do this, and the world of art will become more accessible. This is big business when you consider the fact that in 2017, the global art market was valued at almost $64 billion.

There are currently museums that don’t have placards with information on displays, but rather need an accompanying app that scans them and gives you information on the piece you scan. Others also emit sound waves that are not audible to humans but are picked up by an app on each museum visitor’s phone which prompts them to turn on the sound. They then listen to information about the relevant display through earphones, keeping the museum tranquil for all.

A prediction was made that Information technology (IT) spending on data center systems worldwide would amount to $208 billion in 2020. With such rapid growth, it comes as no surprise that every aspect of our lives will be touched by technology in one way or another.

Remember how when you were young, you would be wowed by sci-fi movies with all the impossible technology? We are living with a lot of that technology right now. It’s easy to miss it as we go about our daily lives, enjoying the conveniences of modern times. In a few short years, however, it will be hard to think of how most things got done without technology, and art is one of these things.
