Hockey Books For Every Kid

Hockey books for every kid

My fathers family is from the north. There, hockey is a pretty big sport. It is not so popular here in the southern states due to our lack thereof of things like the pretty white stuff that falls from the sky. Teaching my kids about Hockey is important to me due to the fact that their grandfather loves it. Sports Illustrated and Sports Illustrated Kids helps me do that with a couple of fun books that make them interested in the sport, hockey books for every kid.

Sports Illustrated Hockey

Hockey: Then to WOW!

This book tells the history of hockey. It begins with of course, the beginning of the sport, in the  19th century and continues to the sport that we know, and most of us love, today. The illustrations in this book allows children to really see how hockey has evolved through the many years.

Hockey’s Greatest

Just like any of the Sports Illustrated “greatest” books, this one is great! Together with hockey experts, Sports Illustrated editors collaborated and came up with the “top 10” in all areas of hockey. These cover greatest games, rivalries, players etc. On top of all the interesting facts, this book also includes fantastic photographs and other illustrations to keep it interesting.

My First Book of Hockey: A Rookie Book

This book covers the who, what, when, where, and hows of Hockey and really puts it on a child’s level. It covers everything the reader wants and would ever imagine needing to know about the great sport of Hockey.

Thoughts

Sports Illustrated/Sports Illustrated Kids has done it again with their fantastic stories about Hockey. These books truly introduce readers to the game of Hockey and help them understand how to play the sport (or at least be able to watch it). These books are easy to read and child friendly and really great for any age with their illustrations.
