For many people interested in travel, the idea of visiting Hawaii might sound like a good idea. But upon closer examination, there are a few key reasons why you shouldn’t travel there after all.
If you understand that much of society operates the same way, then you’ll know.
Many of the same problems you face at home may be even worse over in Hawaii.
That said, having an understanding of what’s wrong will help you make the best decision. Here’s what you need to know about not traveling to Hawaii.
Crime is a Different Kind of Problem
The crime rate in Hawaii isn’t as bad as you might think.
In fact, many sources seem to suggest that the crime rate in Hawaii might be lower than the national average.
However, it’s the impact that crime has that makes it worth not traveling to Hawaii. You’ll be much further from home and on an island where the culture is largely different.
This means you may inadvertently become a target in Hawaii even though you’re behaving no differently than you otherwise would.
With that in mind, be prepared if something bad happens to you if you decide to go. In Hawaii, you’ll have two years, starting from the date of an accident, to file a personal injury claim if you’re hurt.
That means, in Hawaii, you’ll want to be extra cautious about behaving suspiciously.
In doing so, you’ll attract attention and be more likely to become a victim of violent crime.
The Cost of Living is High
The cost of living in Hawaii is higher than anywhere else.
Depending on your location, you could easily find yourself paying at least $1,500 for a small, two-bedroom apartment.
The cost of groceries and other products is equally as high.
Consequently, people who travel to Hawaii might not be able to enjoy themselves due to the hit their wallets will take.
The reality is, there is so much going on that makes the cost of living expenses even worse. In 2020, during the first half of the year, the trading volume went down.
The decrease was as low as 9.5%. The total global trade rate dropped by 16 percent.
When people aren’t trading, you have to know that money isn’t moving for anyone in the system.
As a Hawaii resident, you have to consider the impact that many other problems in society have on the cost of living.
Unfortunately, there are plenty of expensive reasons to pass on traveling to Hawaii.
The Weather Can Be Unpredictable
In Hawaii, you can expect the weather to be humid at times and cloudy at others. You can also expect the state to see its fair share of rain throughout the year.
If you don’t like humidity, understand that the levels can be above the national average, especially in the mornings.
The good news is that in the summers, most people in Hawaii seem to believe the temperature averages at around eighty degrees or so.
So, while your journey won’t be too overwhelming in the summer, it’s another story entirely to be uncomfortable when you’re so far from home.
Of course, if you’re into traveling, you’d likely visit Hawaii to also explore its vast forests.
If an emergency were to happen, you could be like the CDC’s estimated 2 million Americans who get infections in hospitals each year.
Traveling to Hawaii might bring about some thrills and excitement.
But considering the unpredictable weather, or, more importantly, the problem with the increasing cost of living, you might want to take a hard pass at choosing to travel to Hawaii.
The greatest impact of all will likely be on your bank account in the near future.
Still, if you do have to travel to Hawaii, be prepared for situations that can go wrong in a hurry. Often, your biggest problem is simply related to feeling alone on the island.
