With Easter just around the corner, I wanted to feature a fun Easter treat recipe for everyone. These Gravity M&M Easter Cupcakes are a deliciously simple recipe the whole family will love.

This is a unique recipe that features M&M’s climbing up a wooden dowel from inside the cupcakes.

You’ll enjoy watching your kids create their own color pattern as they use their fine motor skills to place each Easter M&M on their small wooden dowel.
There is nothing quite like an Easter cupcake. Cupcakes take us back to a time in childhood when celebrating was so much fun.
As a parent, it is harder to get excited about the holidays because of all the chores that come with it. However, knowing the end result of the cupcake preparation is totally worth the reward.
What frosting goes well with vanilla cupcakes?
For this Gravity M&M’s Easter Cupcakes recipe you’ll work with prepared cupcakes. This means you can purchase a boxed cupcake mix, make cupcakes from scratch or buy the store-bought prepared cupcakes.
If you happen to go with vanilla cupcakes, you may be wondering what frosting goes well with vanilla cupcakes.
This recipe calls for white frosting, and this is an excellent choice for vanilla cupcakes.
There’s nothing wrong with switching out the white frosting for another flavor to go with your cupcakes but in all honesty?
I think the white frosting helps the fun-size Easter M&M’s stand out for a beautiful display of Easter cupcakes.

How do you frost cupcakes with frosting?
You’ll need to cover the prepared cupcakes with white frosting before working to make the final step of the Gravity M&M’s Easter Cupcakes.
I struggle with frosting cupcakes from time to time, but that’s because it’s best to follow a specific procedure.
The best way to frost cupcakes with frosting is to use a knife unless you have a piping bag which will always make the frosting process easier.
Since many people have a knife at home for frosting cupcakes, you’ll grab a knife from your silverware drawer and slowly work the frosting around the top of your prepared cupcakes.
The best way to do this is to put a glob of white frosting on the top of your Easter cupcakes, then move the frosting towards the edge of your cupcakes until the white frosting covers your cupcake tops.
Once you have your prepared cupcakes ready, you’ll need to gather fun-size Easter M&M’s, white frosting, and six 6 inch long dowel rods.
With these simple ingredients, you’ll proceed to create your very own Gravity M&M’s Easter Cupcakes with the family.
This is an excellent way to spend quality time together as you work to celebrate the Easter holiday.
Easter 2020 may look different than other years, but you can still make the best of it with this fun, kid-friendly recipe.

What Do You Need For Gravity M&M Easter Cupcakes

- Prepared Cupcakes
- White Frosting
- Fun Size Easter M&M’s
- Dowel Rods (each about 6 inches long)
How To Make Gravity M&M Easter Cupcakes

Frost each cupcake. You want to make it nice and smooth.

Cut just the corner off of the M&M packs and shake out the candy. Set aside.

Place a dowel rod towards the back into each cupcake. Place an empty M&M wrapper onto the dowel rod and mark with a little frosting where the opening begins. Remove M&M wrapper and set aside to use later.
With frosting, frost the dowel rod from the bottom up to the mark that you just placed on there. Make sure to get the front and back.

Place M&M’s on the dowel rod, starting from the bottom of the rod and work your way up. Then place a pile of M&Ms on the cupcake to make it look like they all spilled out.

Place the M&M wrappers back on the dowel rods.
Ready to serve and Enjoy for Easter!

The first thing I do when I see a cupcake, is look at all the icing. I imagine licking it all off and then tasting the smooth icing on the roof of my mouth.
Sometimes I prefer to sprinkle cupcakes with Jimmy’s.

Other times I like to put traditional festive colored sugar on top of each of them. No matter what the topping on a cupcake, one thing for sure the reward is in the taste.
Remember, when it comes to eating cupcakes, it’s called sugar and spice and everything nice. The person with the most icing wins!
