Through this adventure, you’ll be passing through both mountain gaps and beautiful valleys. Along with picnic spots to enjoy your lunch, there’s even a two-mile round-trip hike as well!

Meriwether-Pike Scenic Byway

Now, the Meriwether-Pike Scenic Byway is a 55-mile route full of memorable photo moments. It’s a route that highlights a historical area better known as the Cove. This area was once home to the Native Americans, an American president, and even the infamous bootleggers.  Going through this scenic byway is a promising must, especially if you are hoping to capture some great photos.

Enduring Farmlands Scenic Byway

There are many cases where you may come across a bit of farmland during your travels. Well, the Enduring Farmlands Scenic Byway you will see more than 60 miles of farmland and historical towns. Consider stopping into a few of the local farmer’s markets for some tasty goods. Or you can visit an incredible Civil War heritage site and much more. Also, you can’t forget about the Hawkinsville Opera House which was built in 1907. A beautiful piece of architecture that you just don’t want to miss out on.

Coastal Highway U.S. 17

It’s time to leave all that terrible interstate traffic behind for something a little more exciting. We are talking about the one and only original Dixie Highway folks. This special route passes through Richmond Hill south to Darien, by Butler Island, Hofwyl-Broadfield, Plantation, and into the port city of Brunswick! You’ll also come across a number of viewing spots so that you can see more for your and the family’s enjoyment.
