For many of us, Autumn temperatures are here. However, cooler weather doesn’t lessen our risk of sun exposure. Here are some ways to protect your skin. After all, it is your body’s biggest organ.

Did you know that on a sun, snow-covered day, you can still get badly burnt? Many of us know that the sun’s rays will reflect off of water. That’s why we get sun burnt faster while we’re swimming or even laying in a pool. The same happens when the ground is covered in snow. The sun’s rays reflect off that coating and can damage our skin, even our eyes!
Protection with Clothing
Obviously, if there’s snow on the ground, it’s pretty cold. So we’re covered with layers. However, you can’t forget your face and eyes. Try finding a winter hat with a brim to keep those rays off your face. Don’t forget sunglasses either! When you step outside on a cold sunny day, your eyes automatically squint. That’s their way of saying there’s too much light.
Don’t forget your lips!
Don’t forget that your lips will get sun burnt as well. Wind and sun will wreak havoc on them. So make sure you grab a lip balm that has SPF as well. I love Sun Bum and Burt’s Bees.
Use Sunscreen
Yes, you need to use sunscreen, even in the winter. My personal favorites for myself and my husband are Image Skincare. Their Prevention+ line has a full selection of sunscreens to protect your face.
I love their Prevention+ Daily Tinted Moisturizer SPF 30. The tint helps even out my skin tone, which is perfect because cold weather seems to enhance every discoloration on your face. It moisturizes my face and makes my skin look even.

For my entire family
