Cleaning Shortcuts To Make Your Life Easier

If your cleaning is taking too long, or you just want a way to get more cleaning done in the same amount of time, then you should try these awesome cleaning shortcuts.

Cleaning Shortcuts To Make Your Life Easier

Clean Clockwise

It may sound odd, but if you clean the room from right to left, then you will sweep all the debris into the middle and make it easy to clean it up. You will also leave less debris lying around the parts of the room you already cleaned. This is a great way to work in an organized way and save yourself some time.

Have Supplies in Multiple Rooms

If you have an upstairs and downstairs to clean, then you may want to leave a set of cleaning supplies upstairs as well as downstairs. That way, you don’t have to keep going back and forth to get what you need, and you can save some time and work faster. Your back and legs will definitely appreciate this little tip.

Clean the Microwave Faster

You may have a hard time getting all the gunk off the inside of the microwave, but if you put some water and lemon juice in bowl for a couple of minutes and microwave it, you will be surprised at how much easier it is to clean. The gunk should wipe right off, and your microwave should smell fresh and clean. Some professional companies offer microwave cleaning included in their oven and kitchen cleaning services.

Soak instead of Scrub

One of the worst cleaning jobs to do is scrubbing down hardened food from the stovetop, countertop or dishes. Instead of scrubbing these things or using abrasive cleaning solutions, you can just let them soak for a while. Soak dishes in hot water, soak the oven top after you take off the burner racks and spray dirty parts of the counter with a cleaning solution to alleviate some of the work. This will make the encrusted stiff a lot easier to clean, as the water breaks it down and lifts it off the surface it has been attached to.

Vacuum toward the Entrance

When you use the vacuum cleaner or mop, be sure to start cleaning by facing the entrance at the opposite end of the room. Then work your way around the room to the entrance. That way, you don’t have to clean up the footprints you left behind or otherwise clean up after yourself. You’ll spend a lot less time cleaning and have a nicer looking floor.

Remove Items in a Bucket or Tray

If you have to remove some items from an area to clean it, such as the countertop, desk or dresser, just put everything into a tray or a bucket. That way, you can move it all at once instead of moving everything one at a time.

These simple cleaning techniques are things that anyone can do, and they will all save you time and make your cleaning time go much faster. These are just a few of the shortcuts you can do, and as you clean more, you will probably discover a few of your own.
