The holiday season is here. And, with the holidays comes many parties and family gatherings. Such festivities can increase the risk for accidental spills of wine, punch, food, and other such things onto the rug or onto clothing. And, that’s why it can be so helpful to have some cleaning products on hand so you’re prepared to attack the spills and stains. I’ve learned from experience that many times it’s so important to clean the mess up as soon as possible to prevent stains from setting in. So that makes being prepared even more crucial. Carbona 2-in-1 Oxy-Powered Carpet Cleaner
The first product I have to tell you about is their Carbona 2-in-1 Oxy-Powered Carpet Cleaner. The “value size” container I received comes with a brush that has two different types of scrubbing mechanisms attached to the bottle: stiff yellow bristles and a blue sponge-type scrubber.
According to the package, the 2-in-1 Oxy-Powered Carpet Cleaner can be used to remove “heavy soil, pet stain accidents and unsightly spills such as red wine, coffee, cola, grease, or fruit juice. It’s also good on feces, urine, or vomit stains. (And, it’s) safe to use around pets.” That sounds like a great product for helping to clean up holiday party accidents (and possible accidents from illnesses that go around at this time of year).

Carbona Stain Devils
What about specific stains that may need a bit more of individualized attention, such as those stubborn oil or coffee stains? Carbona has you covered there, too. They have a product line called Carbona Stain Devils with various products addressing specific stains. I received Stain Devils #5 for fat and cooking oil stains. I love that they have a specific stain remover for these types of stains because fat and oil stains can be some of the most stubborn stains to remove. These types of stains are probably common during the holiday season, too, since parties and gatherings feature so many foods with oil and fat (think turkey and gravy). This product is available on the Carbona website for $3.99.
The other Stain Devil I received is #8, for coffee, tea, wine, and juice stains. These types of fluids can also be stubborn, and, I personally wouldn’t want these simple drinks to ruin something simply because of a spill. So, this is another great product to have on hand to get those stains out and keep items free of stains. And, although the bottle says it removes coffee, tea, wine and juice stains, the website also says this product can help remove the following: baby food, cola, iodine, jams/jellies, maple syrup, mold/mildew, nicotine, perfume, self tanner, urine, vegetables, and vomit.
