Bad Environment And Covid-19: Any Connection?

The Covid-19 lifestyle has brought some relief to the worsening environment and the air pollution.

But did pollution, habitat destruction, and climate changes play a part in its spread?

Coronavirus is prevalent throughout the world and people are speculating if the deteriorating and bad environment is responsible for it.

It has been confirmed by the World Health Organization that our bad environment is not the cause of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Bad Environment And Covid-19: Any Connection?

According to environmental health news, the cause of Covid-19 is not the harmful bacteria and pathogens produced by our poor environment, but the Coronaviridae virus.

The relationship between coronavirus and extreme environmental factors

A study was conducted to check the association between the coronavirus and three extreme environmental features: maximum speed of wind, maximum temperature, and maximum humidity.

The study found out that the association between the coronavirus’s prevalence with maximum wind speed and air humidity was statistically insignificant and negligible.

However, the increasing wind speed and humidity somehow decreased the prevalence of coronavirus in many cases.

How can we improve environmental health?

Having maintained that our environment is not responsible for coronavirus, are we sure that our deteriorating environment won’t kill our coming generations anyway?

The environmental health news advocated that we and our future generations are endangered with the current major environmental crisis including climate change, environmental degradation, resource depletion, pollution, endangerment of useful natural areas, global warming, genetically modified foods, endangered species etc.

But, we can still turn the tables if we make the following lifestyle changes and become increasingly environmentally aware for reducing our negative impact on the environment.
