When I go to the gym, I want my hair out of my face so I make sure I have an athletic headband on hand. After a lot of trial and error, I have come up with a list of things to look for when I buy an athletic headband. If you’re on the hunt for the perfect headband, heck out this list so that you know what features make a useful athletic headband.
Find One That’s Stretchy
I have noticed that stretchy headbands are perfect for the gym. Because of this, I will try to find an athletic headband that has some stretch to it. A stretchy headband makes it easier to fit over my ponytail and then will fit tightly against my head. This will prevent the athletic headband from falling off during my workout.

Make Sure It’s Cute
I have to admit, one of my top requirements for athletic headbands is that it’s cute. I love to have fun patterns that go with my workout outfit. Even if I’m wearing black yoga pants with a plain t-shirt, I try to make things more exciting with a bright and colorful headband.

Find the Right Brand
In addition to the style and pattern, you’ll want to make sure you find a brand that works for you. I’ve tried a lot of brands that either slip off my head or break along the seam. Through trial and error, I’ve come to the decision that One Up Bands is the best brand for me. Out of all of the athletic headbands I’ve tried, this company has proven time and time again that they have great quality products that are also super cute. What’s not to love?
