5 Great Valentine’s Day Home Decor Ideas

It’s the season of love. Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and I can’t wait to get festive.

One of the ways I get into Valentine’s Day is by sprucing up my home with season-appropriate décor. With such specific motifs and color schemes, it’s quite easy to make your home “Valentine-friendly.”

Here are a few of my ideas that are both fun and budget-friendly:

5 Great Valentine’s Day Home Décor Ideas

Garlands Galore: Garlands are a fun way to dress up your home without having to break the bank. Bonus: they’re crafts that your kids can help out with! You can opt to make a heart garland, which makes a great piece over a mantle or across the living room wall. Loop garlands using red, pink and purple paper is also a popular choice (and super simple to make!).

Red Candles: Nothing says romance like the light coming from a candle. Do you want décor that’s a little more subtle? Why not group a few different-sized candles as the centerpiece for your coffee table? Tasteful yet, festive!

Floral Arrangements: We all know the traditional Valentine’s Day present: a box of chocolate and a bouquet of roses. Speaking of centerpieces, a vase filled with romantic flowers makes for some perfect Valentine’s décor! Of course, you can pick up artificial flowers that still look realistic (silk ones are my favorites). This way, you can continue using them for years to come!

Throw Pillows: Do you already have throw pillows in your living room and/or bedroom? Then this is the ultimate Valentine idea for you! Change up your throw pillows’ style by giving it a mini V-day makeover. You can make your own pillow covers with red, pink, or burgundy fabric. (Or any color that you see fit for this holiday). You can even spruce them up by adding a couple of details like buttons, felt hearts, and artificial flowers.

Chocolates in a Vase: We all love a Valentine’s Day treat. Why not fill up some tall, glass vases with your favorite Valentine’s chocolates? Your guests will love them (and so will the rest of your family members).
