4 Recipes You Can Make With Hemp Oil

Kale Pesto

Let’s talk about some amazing recipes that are built off of hemp oil instead of unhealthy fats, like vegetable oil. Pesto is a great example because it can be used in so many different ways. In pasta, sure! It also goes great atop chicken, flavorful mashed potatoes, or with a crostini. 

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of kale (washed and uncooked)
  • 2 whole cloves of garlic (2 tablespoons of minced garlic)
  • 2 tablespoons of lemon juice 
  • ½ cup of walnuts
  • ¼ cup of hemp oil (add more until desired texture)
  • ½ of parmesan cheese (optional)
  • ¼ cup of fresh basil (1 tablespoon of dried)

Instructions:

Throw everything in the food processor, except for the hemp oil. 

Pulse to chop the ingredients and begin to combine, as you increase speed add in the hemp oil to marry all of the ingredients together. 

Add oil until it has the desired texture, finish off with sea salt and cracked black pepper to taste. 

Heavenly Roasted Potatoes

Roasted potatoes are an easy side dish you can add to almost any meal. Throw this quick complimenting dish together and relax into the rest of your evening.

Ingredients:

  • 3 lbs of sweet potatoes (not yams)
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • ¼ cup of fresh sage (2 tablespoons of dried)
  • ⅛ cup of fresh thyme (1 tablespoon dried)
  • 3 tablespoons of hemp oil
  • Sea salt and cracked black pepper

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.  

Peel sweet potatoes and cut into quarter-inch cubes. Toss sweet potatoes cubes onto a cookie sheet and generously drizzle with hemp oil, make sure all cubes are lightly coated. 

Add a desirable amount of our delectable sea salt and cracked black pepper, then toss in garlic and all herbs. 

At this point you have two choices, throw those bad boys in the oven or add some seasonings like smoked paprika or cayenne pepper to take this recipe to the next level. 

Roast potatoes at 400 for 20 minutes, turning over with a spatula if you desire a crispness on all sides. Cool and enjoy the relaxing and cleansing harmony of hemp, sweet potato, and sage. 

CBD Cupcakes

Some of us love to finish off dinner with a dessert, so if you forego the CBD in your potatoes, maybe try adding it to your cupcakes? 

Ingredients: 

  • 175g of CBD butter
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • Dash of vanilla extract
  • 175g caster sugar
  • 175g self-raising flour
  • ½ teaspoon of baking powder
  • 2 tablespoons of milk

Some other items you should have on hand include a cupcake tin and toppings of your choice. Personally, I love chocolate frosting with vanilla cupcakes, but this part you can feel free to get more creative with.

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 320 degrees F.  

Add CBD butter, vanilla, eggs, and sugar to a large mixing bowl. 

Once mixed, add flour and baking powder. Then slowly begin to add milk. Continue to mix it up until it has a thick and smooth consistency. 

Spoon the mixture into your cupcake tin and bake for 15 – 20 minutes. Cupcakes should be done when you can put a toothpick in and it comes out clean. 

Let cool for 5 – 10 minutes. Once cool, get creative with your toppings! You can add a chocolate, buttercream, or cheesecake frosting to get some fun combination of flavors going!

Botanical Fizz

Cooldown and cool off with the delectable botanical CBD cocktail. It is sure to add a heavy dose of relaxation to cocktail hour.

Ingredients:

  • 2 sprigs of fresh rosemary 
  • 2 segments of grapefruit
  • ½ shot rosemary simple syrup (reduce sugar and water with rosemary)
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 shots of grapefruit juice
  • Prosecco
  • 1 shot of gin
  • 1 full dropper of CBD

Instructions:

In your favorite cocktail shaker combine ice, rosemary syrup, grapefruit juice, honey (heat up to liquid if desired), and gin, shake vigorously. Pour chilled mixture into coupe glass, add CBD oil and top with Prosecco, rosemary, and grapefruit garnish, enjoy on a sunny relaxing afternoon!
