 Let’s face it, gym memberships are expensive and often have pricey joining fees as well as hidden obligations. But, you don’t need a gym membership to keep in shape! If you can’t find the right deal for you, here are a few ways to help get you started on your fitness journey.

At home equipment

Gym memberships are pricey, but at home at equipment is not cheap either. The one difference is that fitness equipment has one upfront cost without any further expenses even as you continue to use it for years to come. On the other hand, a gym membership has a monthly rate you must keep paying, even if you do not attend. With fitness equipment, like those offered by companies such as Fitness Market, you can work out on your schedule in the comfort of your own home. It’s an inexpensive and effective option!

Fitness video schedule

Fitness videos are great for people who are unsure what types of exercises to do during their workout. Most videos come with a full schedule that will allow you to follow along and see the results of the people on screen. You can often get these in packages so that your whole fitness program is mapped out for you. The benefit of fitness videos is that you are you can make your own rules, and rest at any time you want.

Personal trainer

Do you prefer someone to give you instructions and help you develop your fitness goals? A personal trainer is a great choice as they will tailor your fitness program to your schedule and body type. Though it can be pricey, many trainers offer bundle packages to help save some money and once it’s finished, you can walk away with more knowledge about what you can do than you ever had before.

Fitness group

Are you uncomfortable exercising by yourself? If yes, then why not join a fitness group that meets once a week? This will change up your routine while also allowing you to join a network of likeminded people. A fitness group will keep you accountable, as well as be a change of pace from your fitness routine during the rest of the week.

Utilise your neighbourhood

Leave the car at home

Or, maybe do another work out on the way home – this is a simple way to incorporate more exercise into your daily routine and you’ll feel much more accomplished.
