It has always been a dream of mine to visit Nevada. We have family that lives out there, and they are always talking about how many awesome things there are to do and see out there. There is plenty to do in Carson Valley, Nevada! It’s just a matter of knowing where to start. Check out these top 7 things to do and see in Carson Valley, Nevada.

There are four parts to Carson Valley, and they include Gardnerville, Genoa, Minden, and Topaz Lake. Each part adds something special to Carson Valley, Nevada.

Courthouse Museum in Genoa

If you’re up for the historical side of Carson Valley, Nevada, then check out the Courthouse Museum. This courthouse was in use from 1865 to 1916. Highlights include some important things in history like the Pony Express Trail, Native American tribes, and more.

Sports Recreation

Some of you may enjoy getting out there and doing sports that may be out of the ordinary. One of my favorite parts of Carson Valley, Nevada are all the sports options available. Visit the Hot Springs

Have you ever visited a hot spring before? If not, Carson Valley, Nevada is the perfect place to check out a hot spring for the first time. There is something called Grover Hot Spring State Park. There is also a place called David Walley’s Hot Springs Resort and Spa. There are five mineral spas to check out here.

Dangberg Home Ranch Historic Park

Another cool place to visit in Carson Valley, Nevada is Dangberg Home Ranch, Historic Park. This place has won an award for being a top attraction. It was once home to Carson Valley’s most prominent family. You can see a piece of Nevada’s historical past here.

Genoa Historic Ghost Tours

One of my favorite places to visit is the Genoa Historic Ghost Tours. Seeing the rich history that Genoa has is awesome. You can walk through the historic town of Genoa. You never know what could show up on the tours, so pay close attention.

I was out in Vegas several years ago when my sister got married to her first husband, but we were only there for 2 days. Unfortunately, that's the only place in Nevada, I've been, although I've heard lots about Carson City. Seems like there is a lot to do there!
