THE GREAT FOOD TRUCK RACE

The Great Food Truck Race is back for a sixth season this August , traveling across America’s most famous stretch of road, historic Route 66. This year will be as good as the years before. The seven teams are professional food truck operators from around the country who are known regionally for their culinary talents and selling skills – and they are ready to be recognized from coast to coast.

This will prove how good they are, making their great dishes for many states, the 2,500-mile, food-filled road battle kicks off in Santa Monica, California, and ending in Chicago where the winning truck will win the bragging rights and a cool 25.000 dollars.

They will have to put their skills to the test, and the readers are going to be on the road trip of their lives. This journey across Route 66 will reflect the food culture in itself, fast, intense and most of all we will see how creative they really are , and hopes that the food is delicious.

This season’s competitors are: Diso’s Italian Sandwich Society (Brooklyn, New York), GD Bro Truck (Orange Country, California), Pho Nomenal Dumplings (Raleigh, North Carolina), Postcards (Los Angeles), Spice It Up (Phoenix), The Guava Tree Truck (Dallas) and Waffle Love (Provo, Utah).

This is going to be a fast-moving season, can not wait for it to start. The very first episode Tyler has them racing through Santa Monica Pier, trying to sell 200.00 worth of their signature dish. After they race head to head they are out to start their journey. The first stop is Arizona where they have a truck stop challenge. Each truck has to create a fish and dips dish and sell 20 orders to win. Who will be the winner in the end. This is not the everyday actively they are so used to, they learn its much more and already someone will go home. The race follows the route 66 to Flagstaff.

Make sure to check your calendar it all starts Sunday, August 23rd at 9pm.

It would be useful to know the full date of your posts - I clicked on it as a Must Read, but apparently this is for last year. :)
