Smart Parental Controls: Empowering Parents to Solve Major Teenage Challenges!

When we talk about the teens, we often consider them to be rebellious, reckless and having arguments with their moms and dads all the time. But these are only the stereotypes; no doubt teens coping up with their transition from a child to a teen might make them irritated and abusive, but not always. Teenage brings emotional ups and downs and teens might not know how to handle so much changing! In such difficult time, being a parent, don’t blame them for their faults. Instead, try to help them out. You can get assistance from smart parental controls and make sure they are getting your ample time and yes, their personal space too wouldn’t get compromised.

3 major parental concerns & solutions

There are three major challenges every parent is concerned about. These three issues are keeping track of teens’ locations, controlling their screen times and checking their Internet activities. Let’s have a look at, how parental apps can make these challenges easier for the parents and what could be the usefulness of smart parenting in this digital era.

Location tracking

It’s a big problem for parents to know where their teens have been the whole day. It’s because once stepping into the teen years, it gets really hard for parents to keep track of everything they do: with bedroom doors strictly shut at all times and mobile phones and secret calls, even a detective won’t be able to get much clue. If your teen is quite adventurous then he/she might try to twist the truth and/or hide his/her whereabouts. On the other hand, if your teens are a bit less confident and insecure about his/her body image and personality then too, you have to ask the questions very carefully. But these issue could be resolved with the wise selection of a GPS tracking parental control app. These apps can let you view all places your teen has visited on a virtual map, along with the details.

You can Geo-fence their whereabouts with the use of some advanced apps like FamilyTime and get instant alerts whenever they enter or exit the listed places. You can download this app from iTunes and Google Play any time.

Web activities

Teens interacting with the world on the Web aren’t safe, and we all understand it. But asking them to show their devices and check what they have been doing online isn’t possible. They can view online porn, use the dating sites, extensively use the social media, and even use the digital drugs. They can simply delete their Web browsing history and you will never get to know that they were surfing recklessly on the Internet. For such problems you can use the smart parental controls to keep a check on what they look for when online. With the FamilyTime’s Internet monitoring feature, you can view their entire browsing history even when they have deleted it. You can also view the bookmarks and favorites to get to know their interests and the overall online behavior.

Smartphone abuse

Using the smartphones in the bed, on the dinner table and during a conversation is very annoying for parents. Teens are so obsessed with the social media applications and online gaming apps, it’s really hard to let them put down the gadgets and phones. And yes, you can’t ignore the texting and tweeting in bed which is increasing sleep deprivation in teens today. Well, it’s also controllable with a smart app! You can put screen locks at the time when you don’t want them to use the phones and you can also Blacklist the addictive games and apps. This is another very impressive feature of FamilyTime.

Keep tabs on teens smartly and stay relaxed!

With the use of smart parental controls, you can keep an eye on their location, their online activities and also their mobile usage but without annoying them. You don’t have to call them up and ask where they are, no need to check their phones and checking on them by knocking on the door if they have slept or not. It’s the simplest way to help teens get through the tough teens years and developing a strong bond with them!

Yep, parental control apps are very needed our days. Kids are glued to their screens. My boy as well. So, I had to start using Kidslox (www.kidslox.com). I limit his time every day. Seems like it helps. I give him 1 hour on weekdays and 2 hours on weekend. I noticed that he became more disciplined and active. Actually screen addiction is a kind of oblivion. Happy that now the situation is becoming better.
