This fun and easy Shark Bait Popcorn recipe uses everyday kitchen staples to create a special snack your family will love. You can easily find the ingredients at your local grocery store or online through Amazon.

All you need is:

  • popcorn
  • white chocolate candy melts
  • royal blue candy melts
  • light blue candy melts
  • blue sprinkles
  • gummy fish
  • colored sixlet candies
  • gummy sharks
  • pretzel goldfish
  • plain and peanut M&M’s
  • graham cracker goldfish

SHARK BAIT POPCORN RECIPE INSTRUCTIONS

Begin by popping the popcorn. Pour the popcorn onto the prepared baking sheet in a single layer.

Melt the white, royal blue, light blue chocolate separately. I used a melting pot, but you can also melt it in the microwave or stovetop.

With a fork, dip it into the white melted chocolate and with a loose wrist go back and forth with the chocolate, spreading it over lightly.

When done, do the same with the light blue melted chocolate.

Next, use the fork and dip it into the Royal Blue melted chocolate and with a loose wrist go back and forth with the chocolate, spreading it over lightly.

Quickly sprinkle the candy and sprinkles over the popcorn.

Allow the popcorn to cool before serving.

In about 30 minutes, you’ll have a fun shark-themed popcorn treat that’s sure to become a new favorite!

This popcorn snack is easy to whip up for a snack or a party. This Shark Bait Popcorn recipe takes approximately 30 minutes. TOTAL. This includes:

  • About 5 minutes to pop the popcorn
  • Close to 10 minutes to melt the chocolate and drizzle it over the popcorn
  • Around 5 minutes to decorate the chocolate with candy and sprinkles
  • 10 minutes to cool the popcorn

You can store Shark Bait Popcorn in an airtight container in a cool place for up to 3 days. 

Keep popcorn at room temperature in a glass or plastic storage container.

Yes, you can easily make Shark Bait Popcorn ahead of time. Simply keep the popcorn stored in an airtight container at room temperature.

Yes, you can use homemade popcorn in this recipe instead of microwavable popcorn. The steps will be pretty much the same.

Using microwavable popcorn saves a ton of time. You can season the homemade popcorn with some butter and salt or just leave it plain. 

WHAT ELSE CAN I ADD TO THIS POPCORN RECIPE?

Ingredients

  • 8 cups popcorn or 1 ½ 3.3 oz bag microwave popcorn
  • 6 ounces white chocolate candy melts
  • 6 ounces royal blue candy melts
  • 6 ounces light blue candy melts
  • Blue Sprinkles
  • Gummy Fish
