Outside Bets
- Columns
A column bet consists of wagering on one of three designated columns found within the Roulette table layout. Each column is comprised of 12 numbers. When placing a bet on a column, your odds are 2:1. The first column consists of numbers; 1, 4, 7, 10, 13, 16, 19, 22, 25, 28, 31, 34.
The second column consists of numbers; 2, 5, 8, 11, 14, 17, 20, 23, 26, 29, 23, 35.
The third column consists of numbers; 3, 6, 9 ,12, 15, 18 ,21, 24, 27, 30, 33, 36.
To place a column bet, simply pick a column and place a betting chip within the box corresponding to the column of your choice.
- Dozens
A dozen bet is like a column bet, consisting of three sets of 12 numbers, this time in numerical order with the odds being the same; 2:1.
Dozen one contains numbers 1through 12, dozen two contains numbers 13 through 24, and dozen three contains numbers 25 – 36.
When placing a dozen bet, simply place your betting chip in the corresponding betting box found on the table layout.
- High/Low
For this bet type, you’re simply predicting that the ball within the next spin will land in either a low numbered category or a high numbered category.
Pockets with numbers from one to 18 are classed as low, and numbers 19 to 36 are classed as high.
To place such a bet, you’ll need to place your betting chip in the corresponding box.
This bet is classed as an even-money bet, with odds of 1:1, with your chances of winning being the best they can be during gameplay, at just under 50%.
- Red/Black
Just like the high and low bets, this too is an even-money bet, where your odds are 1:1 and chances of winning are just under 50% due to the zeros at play.
But instead of betting on whether the number the ball will land in will be high or low, you’ll be placing your wager on what colour pocket you predict the ball will land in; red or black.
- Odd/Even
Another bet you could place within a game of Roulette is whether the numbered compartment the ball lands in is going to be an odd number or an even number.
Again, this bet type is classed as an even-money bet, with your betting odds being 1:1 and the likelihood of you bagging a win is just under 50%.
To place an odd or even number bet, you must place a betting chip in either the odd or even box within the Roulette table layout.
