Raising Students Who Excel Is What Everyone Wants

Raising Students Who Excel

Did you know that virtually every measure of American children’s learning in our schools have come up with depressing findings.  And when the discussion turns to how we can improve our children’s education it is about what the educators can change. While they have proposed so many changes. In the policies and practices. But they just aren’t working for our kids. Because the U.S is ranked #25 in education. I have four grandkids and I want so much more for them.

The Drive to Learn: What the East Asian Experience Tells Us about Raising Students Who Excel

Cornelius N. Grove, Ed.D. feels that our children’s poor learning is NOT totally the fault of our educators. Because our children are active participants in their classes. So, if the children are having trouble learning. Then the children can be part of the solution. And that is one of the key messages found in the book. It isn’t the educator’s fault it is how our children are responding to the teaching.

Now we know we need to reform the adult controlled aspects of their education. Solutions to your children start at the family level. The solutions for each and every child depend on parenting styles. And the interaction between the parents and the kids. So we need to spend more quality time with our children and learn from East Asian parents. Because their teachers and educators are there to help them learn. But learning begins at home and they enhance what we have already taught them. Quality time with your children is the key to success!
