Purple Is The New Color For 2018
Isn’t it crazy that we are already talking about 2018? It has come so fast! I mean, Christmas is almost over. So here we are, looking forward to 2018. Ladies, apparently there is a new color for the new year. It is one of my favorite colors! It is purple (or different shades of that color). I was so excited to receive these items from Clairol and Covergirl. I have a new appreciation for purple!
Clairol Color Crave Hair Makeup
Yes…you read that correctly, hair makeup! This is a neat tube with temporary hair color that you apply with a sponge. I had to look up “how to apply” on YouTube to make sure I was doing it correctly. I think it works better if you have longer hair. You have to hold a strand of hair up and apply the sponge applicator, then you dry it with heat and it sets. Unfortunately, I have very short hair. I couldn’t apply it easily, and it was a bit runny. It did eventually work, but after applying as much as I did, my hair was stiff (as if I had lots of product in my hair). I tried combing through it, but it didn’t seem to help. The great thing is that you can simply wash it out! The color on the box is called Brilliant Amethyst, and it is beautiful!
Covergirl Eyeshadow
I was so excited to receive new eyeshadow! Again, 2018 is all about purple, so I received “Purple Pop”. It is gorgeous! I used some black eyeliner and the beautiful Purple Pop eyeshadow, and I was almost ready to go. The Covergirl eyeshadow goes on smoothly and doesn’t crease at all. It also blends very well. The color was enough to pop, but not too much. I was very happy with this!
Covergirl Melting Pout Metallics Gel Liquid Lipstick
This unique gel lipstick was by far my favorite! The color stayed in the “purple” family. I received the color “Amped”. It is a mixture of pink and purple. It is so pretty, and it shines like crazy! Remember, it is metallic. I did use clear lip gloss on top of it but trust me, you don’t need it. It stays on longer than any lipstick that I own. The color is so pretty! It isn’t overpowering at all. When I walked into my families Christmas party, I was decked out in my purple makeup! Everyone was impressed with how well they all go with each other.

Go and buy your very own makeup in the colors I recommended, and you will not be sorry! It is so much fun to play with coloring your hair, and this is even better because you can just wash it out. Sometimes it is so much fun to be a girl!
