NYC has a way of separating families. The extensive city makes even the most courageous people afraid to take the trip from one end of the town to another. So, when it comes to family, we often ignore parts of our life that we shouldn’t ignore.

These invitations pile up and create problems for the small vacations you get. One solution to all of this can obviously be to take them on a long trip once the holidays hit. Visit some of the iconic memorials that played a part in shaping America’s history. Still worried about how to get through the merciless traffic jams and the multitude of routes? Here are a few pointers to ease your worry.

1.    How do we travel?

NYC is quite unforgiving to any cars moving in tandem, so, personal cars are out. So, your best plan is to get one of the group New York charter bus rentals so, that you can get through the traffic without worrying about losing half of your family in the crowd. You can choose to drive the chartered bus yourself or get a driver to do it for you. Since NYC does get very crowded, it’s probably safer to get a driver. A professional at the wheel also means you can interact with your family without any worries.

Planning out alternate routes is absolutely essential. If there are constructions and other things that are growing up throughout the city, these alternate routes can provide you the chance to enjoy the trip without any worries.

2. Where do we travel?

There are many spaces in NYC where you can travel to with family, but, there are some spots that are absolute must-visits.

  1. Empire State Building – A favorite space for TV writers to write their proposal scenes, this building which a certain famous ape climbed atop back in the day gets many people throughout the years. Make sure to visit the top of the building and get a panoramic picture of the NYC skyline. Remember to add some time to your stipulated travel if you decide to visit though, the Manhattan traffic is something of a horror show.
  2. Broadway – Musicals have long represented the happiest of America. Planning a musical trip throughout the roads of Broadway s a dream people worldwide have, live the stories of American dreams if you get some tickets. Or just visit the famous streets.
  3. Times Square – NYC movies have overused Times Square at this point. Yet, the overwhelming populace that walks through this space at almost every hour can’t hide the testament to the stories that this square has told over the years. Times Square is immortalized in many stories, and it deserves to be.
  4. Museum of Modern Art – Chances are you have some art aficionados in your family. MoMA is the place where they get a chance to shine. This is also the place where you can engage with your family and enjoy the artworks that are famous all over the world.
  5. Juilliard – The dream school for anyone who aspires to be a performing artist, Juilliard is something that is pervasive throughout the history of American art. Find people dancing and practicing their arts inside the campus. Book ahead and you’ll not be hard-pressed to find people who enjoy it.

3. What do we eat?

NYC has a slew of restaurants. The only point is to book from ahead and ensure that every one of your family gets a seat. Reserve the seats early on so, that you get enough freedom to sit and enjoy a nice lunch together. You might even give the iconic restaurants a try when you go around. These are popular joints so calling ahead and planning everything is vital.
