Motivation Monday- Dealing With Defeat

This really hits home TODAY!  I’m in the progress of trying to find a home and having the worst time.  Our landlords are moving back into the house we have rented for the past 5 years.  They are retiring and want to live back in the house where they raised their family.  Can’t blame them for that all!

The renters market is horrible right now.  We might have to pay 2x what we are paying now.  For a 3bdrm house in this area to rent is going for $2500-$3000 on an average.  Who can pay that?  My family can’t. We have paid money for applications only to be turned down.  I feel like every door we open is either slammed or politely shut closed.

How do I not feel defeated and not give up?  Well I can’t give up- we need a place to live.  But I’m fighting the depression everyday.  I need to keep a positive outlook. This week I’m going have the faith that something will come our way.

I’m going to try:

  • Make sure I let my husband know we can do this, everyday!
  • Have lunch or coffee with a friend- I need my friends!
  • Would love to go see a movie
  • Go for daily walks- fresh air helps!
