Education

*Elementary Level- A bachelor’s degree in elementary education teaches kindergarten to sixth grade.

*Middle/High school level – A bachelor’s degree with a major in the subject they wish to teach.  For middle level, it starts from 6th grade till 8th grade, and for high school, it is 9th grade till 12th 

*Post-secondary – A bachelor’s degree with a major, an educator is also required to pursue a master’s degree or a doctorate to teach in universities as an associate professor/ professor/ lecturer. 

*Special Educator – A bachelor’s degree in special education is compulsory.

Internships 

For all the levels, the educator should undergo the student teaching internship in accordance with the level they choose for themselves.

Teacher Licensure 

To get the license, all educators must clear the teaching test with the specialized subject of their choice, followed by the license application meant to be submitted with the concerned state’s authorities under whose jurisdiction they fall.  

Soft skills 

An educator’s job is not only to finish the designated curriculum and modules but involve other soft skills to excel in this profession too.
