Who doesn’t love a good egg treat every Easter? I know I can’t resist one.

This year, rather than buying those egg-shaped candies, I decided to go for a homemade treat. I thought to myself: “What’s easy to shape and what tastes delicious?”

Then it occurred to me: “Duh!” Oreo truffles.

We always have a stash of Oreos at home, so this dessert was pretty simple (and budget-friendly) to make. All it takes is some Oreo cookies, cream cheese, chocolate, and sprinkles… and you’re good to go!

What is your favorite dessert for Easter time? Do you make any homemade treats?

With your Oreo and cream cheese mixture, form egg shapes about 2 inches in size. Place on lined baking sheet. Freeze for 10 to 15 minutes.

Melt white chocolate using the double-boiler method. Dip each Oreo egg in the melted chocolate, enrobing the truffle in its entirety. Place on lined baking sheet. Add sprinkles.
