There are dream jobs and there are dream jobs. This now viral opportunity is the emphasized latter. Millennials are wanderlusts. We like to travel and see new places, where older generations were content to never leave their hometowns. To each their own.

Jobs are one of the things that prevent people from seeing the world beyond their desks as often as they’d like. Oscar Mayer figured out the perfect gig for a hot dog loving travel enthusiast.

The Job

Millennials are predicted to spend $1.4 trillion on travel each year by 2020. Travel can get expensive, but this job opportunity with Oscar Mayer literally pays to travel.

The Oscar Mayer company has six Weinermobiles that drive all over the United States each year. Right now they’re looking for new Weinermobile drivers that they affectionately refer to as Hotdoggers. If you think this is a joke, it’s nothing if not serious. Let’s see what it takes to qualify to be a Hotdogger.

“Do you want to meet and greet people from coast to coast? Do you want to work in your own traveling public relations firm, organizing promotions and pitching TV, radio, and print media? If the answer is “Yes”, you could qualify to be an official Oscar Mayer Hotdogger,” reads the official job description.

So far so good. Do you want to do all this is a giant hot-dog-shaped vehicle you’ll be driving all over the country? Heck yes you do.

The Requirements

There are 43.3 million foreign-born people living in the United States and speaking languages additional to English just may get your resume to the top of the application stack. Oscar Mayer is encouraging bilingual candidates to apply for the position. The position also calls for a Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, advertising, or other related disciplines.

Resumes are being accepted until January 31st, then they’ll select someone for the year-long Hotdogger position which will begin in June. The job comes with toppings like competitive salary, paid expenses, and benefits.
